Shelby's off to D.C. & Kaleb has his first Baseball game....

Yesterday (Thursday) Shelby and her classmates left for their 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. Around 60 or so kids signed up to go on this trip. They are taking two chartered buses and driving the whole way there and back. They left Thursday at 2pm and they'll return on Monday around 3:30 pm. Shelby was so excited about the trip that she packed last Sunday.
Their trip includes a major marathon of site seeing and guided tours. Their plan is to start out by 7am and return back to the hotel at 10 pm. This is the third year Wilton has taken this 8th grade trip to D.C., and they say it's awesome!

Now about Bubba...
Last night was Kaleb's first traveling Baseball game of the season. They played Mt. Vernon in Mt. Vernon. We lost 5 to 0, but the kids played very well (for only having two outside practices.) I'm very confident that they will improve more and more every game.

This year my Dad and my brother Edward are coaching the team. My Dad has been coaching for more than 25 years, and it's fun to see him coaching his grandson (even though he definetly doesn't play favorites.)
