Last night was Shelby's first middle school track meet. She ran the 4x200m relay, and she ran the 200m sprint. Their relay team came in first place, and she came in first in her heat of the 200m sprint as well (her time was 32 seconds.) She wasn't very happy when she found out that in the first heat her team mate ran it in 29 seconds, and two other girls ran a better time as well. This meant that she took 4th place over all in the 200 m race. (Still something to be proud of if you ask me.)
She was supposed to run hurdles as well, but she has been struggling with some major lower back pain in the past month. Her coaches thought it best if she waited to see what the Doctor has to say before they let her run anything more strenuous.
She has a Doctor's apointment on Tuesday of next week.
*Please pray for Shelby, that the Doctor could find the source of her back pain.
But at the end of the track meet Wilton 8th grade boys and girls and the 7th grade girls had finished in first place as a team(there were five teams at the meet.) Great job Wilton!
