(3-16-08) @ Julia's...

We started out our first real day of vacation with sleeping in a bit and just relaxing...

...then James and Shelby put together our very own worship and "church" (since it was Sunday) in Julia's living room. It was great...all of us in our pj's...singing and praising God. James prepared a little "sermonette" for us and Shelby (with the help of Whitney and Emily) lead the worship songs. I am so thankful for wonderful friends and family that can not only play together, but more importantly praise our Lord and Savior together too.

After "church" we decided to check out Aunt Julia's model homes...she is a realtor for some really beautiful new homes in the Aurora area, but before we left we noticed that the van was leaking so the men had to check it out...

Kaleb and Shelby decided that we should definitely build or buy one of these houses and move out here to Colorado...this was Shelby's favorite room...
After we checked out the model homes we went to the community rec center to swim and work-out. It was really a cool rec center with water slides and a lazy river too. We also had teams to race around the indoor track. That was not the smartest thing I did, but all in all we had a great time.

That night we went to eat at a Mexican restaurant called Casa Bonita...it was a crazy cool place...they had indoor cliff divers, a big arcade, and all kinds of other touristy things.

We had fun, but ate way too much food since we got the all you can eat meals...here's James after the misery started to set in...

When we left Casa Bonita and went outside we noticed that it had really started to snow, but we still needed to get our groceries before heading up the mountain to the condo...we loaded up on food even though we were all so miserable from eating so much...

After we got our groceries it was basically a total snow storm and we still had to drive for about an hour and a half up to the condo in the mountain at Dillon. Needless to say that by the time we arrived to the condo Cheryl and I were on edge...we drove 30 miles per hour all the way up with terrible road conditions...scared to death. It was about 11:30pm when we finally arrived and unloaded...It was a very full but very productive day!
