Wilton Homecoming...

Shelby is a percussionist in the Wilton High School Band. This year the "Festival of Bands" that Wilton puts on every year happened to be on the same day as the Homecoming dance. Shelby started off her day at volleyball practice and then headed straight to Band practice before the start of the band contest.

This year the music they are playing is from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean." The band voted on wearing pirate costumes or sticking with the original Band uniform. The percussion section was the only ones that decided to go out on a limb and "dress the part." They looked so good...just like real pirates I must say...

It is so fun watching them play because they really do have a lot of fun together.

After the Wilton band performed the girls had permission to leave the festival to go get ready for the Homecoming dance. Three of them decided to go to Erin's in Muscatine and you know girls...getting ready together...that takes time! They went and got their hair done and then they had to be back in Wilton for the awards ceremony for the "Festival of Bands." Then back to Erin's house in Muscatine to finish the process of getting beautiful.

So here's Amy, Erin, & Shelby primping away before the rest of the gang arrives...

A big thank you goes out to Amy (Erin's Mom) for taking her time and talent and doing their hair. They looked beautiful! (Amy, Erin, Bre, & Shelby) Remember the Holly Hobby dresses that I wanted them to wear? They look a little too good here if you ask their fathers! Let the photo shoot begin...

These are the very pretty rose wrist corsages that the boys gave them to wear...

This is the whole gang that went to Wilton's homecoming dance together, but first they headed to supper at Fazzoli's... yes that's right Fazzoli's! (with me, Erin's Mom, & Bre's Mom driving them of course because they're only 14!)Shelby decided that she needed to take off her heals for this shot, because she didn't want to be taller than James (who is her (Muscatine) friend from Youth Group that she also went to the Muscatine Homecoming dance with; as "friends.") How cute are they... After Fazzoli's they called the "3 Moms" to come and pick them up to head to Wilton for the dance. The dance started at 8 pm and ended at 11:30 pm. They all had a lot of fun and so did I! They are such a great group of friends and I'm so thankful for that.
