At 9am Kaleb ran in the Wilton Eager Beaver 1 mile race. He ran an excellent race. He won 1st place in the 11 & 12 year old division with a time of 5 min. 55 seconds.
In the overall race he placed second, which is awesome! Way to go Kaleb!
Before the start of the parade the parents of the Stepperette girls walked the parade route to sell Gatorade and water to help fund raise for the 2007 Stepperettes. Please note that I am not a salesperson, nor do I enjoy begging people to buy things from me (but it was for a good cause right?) All in all we did pretty well, and I'd like to thank anyone who helped support Shelby & her Stepperette Team. (I decided I needed to make these signs about 20 min before we had to be there to sell, but at least then they knew why we were bugging them...)
When the parade started Shelby was in the Wilton Marching Band. She is a percussionist who plays drums etc. In the parade she played the cymbals...
After playing in the band, she had to run to get with the Stepperettes team and their team float. Their theme this year for the Parade was "School Days," so the Stepperette team dressed and acted like "School Nerds." Shelby makes such a cute little nerd...
After the parade, the Stepperettes performed their routines for the Founders Day crowd; performing in kick, pom, and dance. They did a great job for their first real performance together as a new 2007 team. Shelby is one of 9 Stepperettes...
It turned out to be a great day (even though it was crazy busy!) Both kids did a great job, and we had a lot of fun together! :)
