Weekly update...

This past week has been Kaleb's week at camp (5th &6th grade week) out at Spring Valley Bible Camp on the outskirts of Muscatine. He had a complete blast (as always) with his friends and all the Counselors out there. They do such a great job with the kids and Shelby and Kaleb have both enjoyed going there every summer since Pee Wee camp (when they were in Kindergarten).
This was his Cabin Crew this year (minus two who had to leave early)...


When we were about to leave we saw another little cabin mate...

Then this afternoon I took the kids over to Erin's to let the kids swim and hang out with their cousins (how cute are these little suntan kids?)...


Yesterday (Thursday, July 12th) was Shelby's last Freshman Softball game of the season. She played well and they won against Solon. They also had a double-header in Dewitt on Monday, and another double-header in Lowden on Wednesday. It's been yet another very busy week, not to mention Youth Group, and Stepperette meetings.
She has had a lot of fun playing this year and this was her team for the year...

She has been playing Short stop all season, but yesterday she played at 2nd base...


Shelby's latest thing is quilting and sewing purses that she and her Gramma Pam make together. She started out by just making one for herself, but when her softball friends (and Coach) saw it they all said they wanted to buy one. On Tuesday Shelby and Pam made two more purses, and this is the one her Coach picked out to buy for $20...

...and this one is for sale (they are in the process of making more for anyone who is interested. I mean why not make this into a little commercial ad for the girl, right!?!)...

Shelby's next adventure is...
Sunday Shelby is leaving for Senior High Camp at Lake Rathbun with Calvary. She is so excited! They leave at 9am on Sunday and don't get back until Friday around 4pm.

Kaleb's next adventure is going to Adventureland with Gramma Kathy and cousin Noah to celebrate their Birthdays'. (Mom always does Birthday dates with the kids, and they love that!)
