We started off Friday night with Shelby's track meet in West Liberty, and Kaleb's (double header) Baseball games in Wilton. They both did really well. Kaleb won both of his games and Shelby ran well too.
On Saturday Kaleb had another double header in Cedar Rapids, but they didn't do as well as Friday night. They ended up losing both games, but still played well. Their team record is now 5 wins & 5 losses. This is Kaleb's team (minus Tyler Wade, who hurt his back Friday night)...

Shelby had to be at the church at 2pm, so thank the Lord for my mom who helps me run Shelby weekly so I can make it to all of Kaleb's games. The kids at church perform at Calvary every Mother's Day (for the last 3 years, thank you Lorene! It was wonderful, as usual.) It is such a wonderful gift to us all.
This year Shelby was not only singing, but she and her fellow dancer friend (Allison Failor) were able to do a beautiful lyrical dance to help end the service. (Thank you Beth for all of your beautiful choreography and being an awesome dance coach!)
Of corse I took almost 400 pictures over the corse of the week-end, so here are just a few (from Saturday night)...

After the service we took the kids (and our friend Marvin Herter) to Happy Joe's to celebrate what a great job they all did...

On Sunday morning the kids (including Kaleb this time) did the same performance again (it was just as wonderful the second time around!)...

How excited does this kid look? Shelby and Kaleb are definetly two very different kids...

After Church we all went to Gramma Kathy's for a good old fashioned homemade lunch. Mom made the lunch that we used to eat every Sunday after church when we were little kids. It was great. Erin with her kids, Nic with Terrin & her little girl Claire, and all of us were there. We even went outside on the deck for a little photo shoot. It was such a beautiful day...

Last night (Monday) was Shelby's last track meet of the season at Mt. Vernon. Of corse there is no rest for the weary, so tonight she starts softball practice for the freshman team. She is also having her first official performance as a Wilton High School Steperette at the annual Smorgasbord tonight, in downtown Wilton @ 6:30 pm. Stay tuned for more updates...
